Robbery Upper Rathmines Road, Dublin 15th July 2017

Gardai have arrested a male following a robbery at a shop on Upper Rathmines Road yesterday evening.

At approximately 8.50pm on Saturday 15th July 2017 a lone male entered a supermarket on Upper Rathmines Road, Dublin 6 and approached a cashier. The suspect threatened the male cashier, took a sum of money and fled the scene. The male cashier was uninjured. The suspected offender fled the scene on foot.

Gardai subsequently carried out searches of the area and arrested a male in his 20s. This male is currently detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Terenure Garda Station.
